Welcome to Spot2Wait.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Spot2Wait website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Spot2Wait operates a digital marketplace that connects drivers looking for short-term parking with homeowners and businesses offering available parking spaces.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

Spot2Wait
Refers to the Spot2Wait platform, website, applications, and services.

Driver
A user who reserves or uses a parking space through the platform.

Host
A homeowner, business, or property manager who lists a parking space.

Parking Space
A driveway, parking lot, or designated parking area made available through the platform.

Reservation
A confirmed booking of a parking space for a specific period of time.

2. Platform Role

Spot2Wait operates as a technology marketplace platform.

Spot2Wait:

  • Does not own parking spaces listed on the platform

  • Does not operate or manage parking facilities

  • Does not control or supervise parking activities

  • Does not guarantee the condition of listed parking spaces

Parking arrangements are made directly between Drivers and Hosts.

Spot2Wait acts only as a facilitator of reservations and payments.

3. Eligibility

To use Spot2Wait you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate registration information

  • Maintain a valid account

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

Drivers must also maintain valid vehicle registration and insurance.

Spot2Wait reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.

4. User Accounts

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials

  • Ensuring account information remains accurate

  • All activity conducted through their account

Users must notify Spot2Wait immediately if they believe their account has been compromised.

5. Drivers (Parents & Guardians)

Drivers may reserve parking spaces through the Platform.

Reservations may be used for short-term parking such as:

  • School drop-offs

  • School pickups

  • Daycare visits

  • Short errands

Drivers agree to:

  • Park only in the designated space

  • Use the space only during the reserved timeframe

  • Follow instructions provided by the host

  • Respect surrounding properties and neighbourhoods

Drivers must not:

  • Block sidewalks or driveways

  • Park outside the designated space

  • Use the space for vehicle storage or repairs

Drivers remain responsible for their vehicles and any damage they cause.

6. Hosts (Homeowners & Businesses)

Hosts may list parking spaces including:

  • Residential driveways

  • Business parking lots

  • Commercial parking areas

  • Community parking spaces

Hosts must:

  • Have legal authority to list the space

  • Provide accurate listing information

  • Maintain safe and accessible parking areas

  • Follow local municipal regulations and bylaws

Spot2Wait does not inspect or certify listed parking spaces.

7. Parking Reservations

Drivers may reserve parking spaces through the Platform.

Reservation details include:

  • Parking location

  • Reservation time

  • Price

  • Access instructions

Drivers must vacate the parking space when the reservation ends unless otherwise permitted.

Failure to do so may result in additional charges or penalties.

8. Payments

Drivers agree to pay the total amount displayed at checkout, which may include:

  • Parking fee set by the host

  • Spot2Wait service fees

  • Applicable taxes

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

9. Host Payouts

Hosts receive payments for completed reservations minus applicable platform fees.

Spot2Wait may withhold payouts in cases involving disputes, fraud, or violations of these Terms.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

Drivers may cancel reservations subject to cancellation policies displayed during booking.

Refunds may be issued in cases including:

  • Host cancellation

  • Space unavailable upon arrival

  • Platform technical errors

Spot2Wait reserves the right to determine refund eligibility.

11. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Provide false or misleading listings

  • Engage in illegal activities

  • Harass or threaten other users

  • Attempt to bypass platform payments

  • Damage property or vehicles

Spot2Wait may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activities.

12. Liability Disclaimer

Spot2Wait provides a digital marketplace platform only.

Spot2Wait is not responsible for:

  • Vehicle damage

  • Theft or vandalism

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Parking violations or fines

  • Disputes between drivers and hosts

Users assume all risks associated with parking activities.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spot2Wait’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the reservation related to the claim.

Spot2Wait will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

14. Insurance

Drivers must maintain valid automobile insurance as required by law.

Hosts are responsible for ensuring their property insurance allows parking activity.

Spot2Wait does not provide insurance coverage for vehicles or property.

15. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spot2Wait and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from:

  • Use of the platform

  • Parking activities

  • Violations of these Terms

  • Damage to property or vehicles

16. Platform Availability

Spot2Wait does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.

The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance

  • Technical issues

  • Infrastructure updates

Spot2Wait is not liable for interruptions in service.

17. Intellectual Property

All content on the Spot2Wait platform, including logos, trademarks, software, and design, is the property of Spot2Wait.

Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without permission.

18. Privacy

Use of the Platform is also governed by the Spot2Wait Privacy Policy.

Spot2Wait follows applicable Canadian privacy laws including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

19. Force Majeure

Spot2Wait will not be responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters

  • Government restrictions

  • Internet outages

  • Infrastructure failures

20. Dispute Resolution

Users should attempt to resolve disputes directly with each other.

Spot2Wait may assist in reviewing disputes but is not obligated to resolve them.

Spot2Wait reserves the right to suspend accounts involved in repeated disputes.

21. Termination

Spot2Wait may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Create safety risks

  • Abuse the Platform

Users may also close their accounts at any time.

22. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of:

Ontario, Canada.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Ontario.

23. Changes to Terms

Spot2Wait may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform.

Continued use of Spot2Wait after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
